About the position

As a Sports Grounds Caretaker, you are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the municipality's sports and leisure facilities. The work includes, among other things:

• Maintenance and upkeep of football pitches and other sports areas.
• Supervision, operation, and maintenance of the ice hall and outdoor swimming pool.
• Maintenance of jogging trails, outdoor areas, and nearby facilities.
• Supervision and simpler maintenance of sports halls and other cultural and leisure premises.
• Repairs and corrective maintenance.
• Premises cleaning and order maintenance as needed.
• Participation in events, matches, competitions, and other activities.
• Contact with associations, visitors, contractors, and other partners.
• The work involves both independent responsibility and collaboration with colleagues within the administration.
• The position is scheduled during day, evening, and weekend hours.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is practical and has experience in tasks that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of operation, maintenance, and upkeep, as well as an interest in sports and leisure facilities.

For the position, you must:

• Have experience working in property maintenance, facility operation, park and green area maintenance, or another equivalent area.
• Have good practical problem-solving skills.
• Hold a valid B-category driver's license.
• Have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Be computer literate for reporting and administration.
• Have a very high sense of service and professional manner.
• Be flexible and enjoy varied tasks.
• Be responsible and self-initiating.
• Be stress-resistant and able to prioritize when the workload varies.
• Have good teamwork skills and an easy ability to build trusting relationships.
• Have a solution-oriented approach and take initiative.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in operating sports facilities.
• Experience in machine operation and green area maintenance.
• Education or certifications in relevant areas.
• Experience working in public sector operations.

As a Sports Grounds Caretaker, you are often the face of the municipality towards associations, visitors, and the general public. We therefore place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
